I'm Paula, a paper artist and virtual assistant who creates handmade shadow boxes, paper flowers, and 3D cake toppers for those who appreciate thoughtful, handcrafted pieces. What started in 2021 as a creative outlet has grown into PW Design and Co., where I combine my love of paper crafting to make unique decor and gifts. After nearly 10 years in financial services, I transitioned to entrepreneurship to create more flexibility for my family while building something meaningful.
I'm passionate about supporting local Edmonton makers and small businesses, and I love connecting with women who are balancing their own creative or entrepreneurial pursuits with family life. When I'm not crafting, you'll find me planning workshops, managing my virtual assistant clients, or advocating for better workplace support for mothers.

After graduating from the University of Alberta in 2009 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, I began my articles with MOWBREY GIL. Throughout my career and progression within the firm, I have directly helped small owner managed businesses.

Throughout my career and progression within the firm, I have directly helped small owner managed businesses. Additionally, I have had significant involvement with larger businesses in a wide range of industries such as credit union, manufacturing, construction, pension plan, and not-for-profit sectors. Committed to my clients’ success, I deliver strong assurance solutions that help them meet their regulatory, financing and governance requirements.
I also serve as the Treasurer for my local community league, and regularly volunteer with the CPA Alberta Volunteer Tax Clinic. I have had significant past involvement with the recruiting and internal training aspects of our firm, and have grown to be a strong internal assurance resource.
