I found yoga over a decade ago, at the end of my time as a classically trained dancer. Never having subscribed to any other sort of “work out”, I was seeking a way to keep my body flexible and in shape. However, it wasn't until a nearly debilitating car accident in 2013 that I began to look at yoga from therapeutic standpoint, in an attempt to heal my body. In 2014 I found The Sattva School of Yoga and enrolled in their teacher training program, eager to share this new found knowledge of healing I had discovered. Little did I know the best was yet to come. This practice completely transformed my relationship with my body and mind, a brought a profound sense of grounding to my daily life.

I believe so deeply in the holistic healing behind this ancient tradition and feel so lucky to have the ability to share this information with other students and practitioners. Although I have earned my certification that gains me the title of teacher, I consider myself a life long student of this practice, and am grateful for all the amazing teachers who continue to guide me along the way.

About Sattva Yoga

Sattva Yoga is the merging of two ancient paths, that of Hatha Yoga (Yoga of Physical Force) and of Raja Yoga (concentration, meditation and absorption).

Established in 2001 as the Yoga Loft on Whyte Avenue, in Edmonton, Alberta, the SATTVA School of Yoga has grown to offer practitioners a well-rounded holistic approach to yoga that incorporates physical postures, breathing, and meditation.

In addition, the school also offers monthly workshops, global retreats, and teacher development programs that guide practitioners to a deeper understanding of themselves and their practice.
