"WOW" a simple but powerful 3 letter word that we could not stop saying about the turnout of our Spring Mixer! Did you know that this was the biggest YEGBOSSBABES event yet!? We are so excited to share some more details and photos from the evening!

The Foundry Room graciously hosted our event and the staff from the venue was absolutely amazing! They were fun, accommodating and we cannot wait to collaborate with them again in the future! We had some great prizes for our attendees and even better conversations. The room was buzzing with energy and chatter before we even kicked off the evening with our speeches.

YEGBOSSBABE mixers are a time for women in the community to meet like minded individuals across diverse industries who are all doing their best to succeed and grow as business woman and as people. We were so happy to share with our community the story of how YEGBOSSBABES came to be and how far we have grown since September. Grateful is just ONE of the ways we feel when we talk about the evening. Our vision for the YEGBOSSBABES community is coming together through our hard work and the dedication of others who see our vision as well.

To all of our attendees at this mixer and past mixers, THANK-YOU. Thank-you for joining a community that is driven by supporting each other and learning from one another. A community where real talk and genuine conversations are the back bone to making our events such a success every time. You all bring us great support and motivation and we keep working hard to bring you an evolving supportive community that all women in business can relate to.

To our amazing speaker, Courtney Buhler, Founder & CEO of Sugarlash PRO. WOW. We were so spoiled by your genuine presence and priceless advice. We appreciated you sharing your story with us and answering our questions. We were all infatuated to hear about how you built your successful empire and how you still keep your home town HOME. Thank-you!

This was our first event with "official" volunteers - and it was so great to see how many other women were interested in getting involved with YEGBOSSBABES. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for our team as it expands with ambassadors and volunteers alike. Thank you to our volunteers, Orlandice, Danae, Glenda, Dianne, and Ashley. We were lucky enough to have Honey Bees Booth on site for our attendees and it did not disappoint! We had so much fun dressing up and being goofy with the beautifully designed magic mirror that was customizable to our event!

WINTER MIXER 2018 | EVENT RECAP

Thank you so much to the wonderful #YEGBOSSBABES who attended the Winter Mixer! This was only our second mixer and we are so proud of amount of local female entrepreneurs & community members that made it out!

The Woodrack Cafe was an amazing location that provided us with great service, delicious drinks, and a cozy place to network. We defiantly filled the space and appreciated your understanding when things got a little cramped!

Our evening started at 7PM and the conversations seemed to flow easy! People started filling tables, networking and learning more about each other. We love to provide name tags to all of our attendees to help with the "I totally just met you but now I forget your name" situation!

Founder, Kirsten Kyle started the evening with a quick run down of our "WHY" and introduced the other members of the team! Next up we introduced Zakiyaa Murji and she gave an amazing speech on Self Love & Body Positivity. Now you might wonder why we may have choose a topic that wasn't specifically related to business and heres why..

When we heard Kia speak at a previous event we were so moved by her story and feel that in a community full of women that this topic would relate to so many. Confidence in yourself will help you succeed in all things, one of those being your business. It will give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone and land those clients, jobs, sales etc.

We are committed to hosting a mixer every season. With that being said, we are already working on details for our Spring Mixer and will be taking into consideration all of the awesome feedback we received! We encourage all of the Fall & Winter attendees to join us next season as well!

FALL MIXER 2017 | EVENT RECAP

Thank you so much to the wonderful #YEGBOSSBABES who attended our first ever event. We are so proud of our local female entrepreneur

Thank you so much to the wonderful #YEGBOSSBABES who attended our first ever event. We are so proud of our local female entrepreneur community and it truly was a testimate to that with meeting such dynamic and intelligent attendees.

Our beautiful local restaurant partner, Town Square Brewing, was the perfect location for us and kept the beers, wine and pizza flowing throughout the evening. Our evening started at 7PM and we were walking out the door around 10:45PM (an hour and a half later than we expected)! The conversation flowed so easy and people started to break into groups filling tables, walking around to mingle and providing feedback for us on our topic charts that were set up around the restaurant.

What we got out of our feedback was three main topics to cover in the coming events - which, we expect to lead into more topics for us to learn from one another and share stories about. However, the strongest point of feedback women are looking for through YEGBOSSBABES is a SUPPORTIVE- not competitive- community where we can share experiences, learn beside each other and from each other, and to create new friendships!

We are committed to hosting a mixer every season. With that being said, we are working on details for our Winter Mixer for the new year as we speak! We encourage Fall Mixer attendees and new attendees to join in on the next mixer!
