1. When does sleep start? “I say more dumb things before 9 a.m than most people say all day” – Chandler Bing. I relate to this too much.

2. The struggle has been REAL trying to balance being a parent, work, and trying to look like a damn Instagram fitness chick (an exaggeration of course). I avoid my mom guilt by trying to include my son in my workouts. I’m always on the hunt for Kid-Friendly fitness classes. So far these 2 have changed my life! He runs around like a crazy person, and I can sweat my A$$ off!

3.“You’re a hairstylist, your kiddo MUST have the best hair!”.. No.
4. Remember that movie The Other Woman and Leslie Mann talks about wanting to go to “Brain Camp"? Is that a real thing? Where can I sign up? I have way too much knowledge on The Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol.. I need a refresh.
5. Preschool is very convenient for things like grocery shopping, car naps, catching up on social media, writing lesson plans for Beauty Workshop YEG classes and even writing blog posts!
6. I just wanted to leave you #bossbabes with this. Finding balance can be difficult. The second half of 2017 I focused on fine tuning our routine. Not everyday runs smoothly but making sure I put aside a little bit of time each day (even if it’s just having silence for 10 minutes in the morning or evening) I feel HUMAN.

My day starts at 5:30am. Coffee is essential. Also, I am not a morning person. At all.
Raising three tiny humans is not without challenges. Most days I feel like a zookeeper and lately I can not leave the room for more than 2 minutes without a brawl happening. Seriously though, what is with the flicking each other all the time? Anyone who says girls are easier to raise than boys doesn't have girls.
Pre-teen hormones might be the death of me.
My kids found my emergency chocolate bar hidden in the freezer tonight and I lied and said it was expired so they wouldn't eat it. Truth? It's mine and I'm definitely eating it as soon as they are in bed.
I secretly worry about making healthy meals so I caved in to the hype and bought a pressure cooker
to save time. Why the hell didn't I do this sooner?! It now sits full time on my counter and my goal is to cook everything I can in it.
I get asked all the time "how do you do it all". I still haven't figured that out if we are being perfectly honest.
I've let my kids build blanket forts out of EVERY piece of furniture in the house because it keeps them busy and I can respond to emails.
I use to worry about being that Mom who had her sh*t together because social media expects us to be on point all the time. With so many eyes on 24/7 it was suffocating. Dry shampooing your hair 4 days in a row, not wearing makeup or heaven forbid, feeding your kid a happy meal instead of organic locally grown food is PERFECTLY acceptable and not the end of the world. At the end of the day we are all just doing the best we can with what we have. The only opinion that really matters is our own and how happy our kids are.
Now if you'll excuse me there's a chocolate bar calling my name.

1. Giving my child an early Christmas present just so I could get an extra 10 minutes of work done was the most genius thing I could have done all year.
Let’s get to it, here are my random thoughts from a #momboss.
1. Giving my child an early Christmas present just so I could get an extra 10 minutes of work done was the most genius thing I could have done all year.
2. Season 4 of Paw Patrol is now on Netflix. THANK FU*CK.
3. I decided to send my kiddo to day home 2 half days a week (And yes... I was totally "that" mom that said I would never send my kid out of the home for childcare)! Anyways here I am 2.5 years later doing the happy dance when I drop my child off and head to do errands, make product and ship orders! LIFE CHANGER. Even if it's only a few hours a week, your sanity will thank you. I am legit writing this post while watching my child suction his belly with a shop vac feeling thankful that he has pants on because we all know what that could have lead to. By sending him out of the home he gets to play with actual children and do fun crafts that don't involve me cleaning up the inevitable mess of those "fun" crafts!
4. If you are planning to get any work done at home with kids around you can never have enough SNACKS. Here is a link to a website that that I love to use! It has tons of awesome recipes and snack ideas https://www.superhealthykids.com/ (PS these Turkey Sloppy Joe's are amazing!
5. Don't let other moms fool you! They might make it look easy on social media but every #momboss I have met is in the same boat just trying to keep that work life balance in check. If we can support each other with no judgement and help each other out when needed it will make for a much better world of mom bosses!
6. Last but not least if you think your child is potty trained.. HE'S NOT! Do not trust him alone for 2 minutes. I was fortunate enough to have another great experience all while writing this post. It happened 2 feet in front of me, my lovely toddler decided it would be fun to poop on the floor (he was naked at the time since i'm a firm believer in hangin loose while you can still get away with it). BUT WAIT.. IT GETS BETTER, He then thought it would be a good idea to hide it under my favorite brown leather pouf.
That's what I get for trying to do work at home with my toddler! Is it bedtime yet...
